As part of my rationalisation and refocussing of my late fathers accumulation of O gauge items, I have decided to clear what we always termed the Saxon collection of 60's-70's era NSW items. This collection was procured in the early 80's from a Mr Saxon from I think Albion park ( or near) who was switching to HO at the time. Mostly hand assembled from components supplied by companies such as O gauge house, and Colin Shepherd the locomotives were 3 rail 24V dc, although most of the rolling stock is fitted with plastic or insulated wheels and would suit a 2 rail system. Wheels standards range from definitely Coarse scale though to reasonably fine, and most vehicles are fitted with the non automatic, but perfectly functional solid cast auto couplers that was common to the era. Having been in storage for the best part of 40 years, most items are basically intact, however can be dusty and some components may have become detached and lost over the intervening years, and some of the bogies need tightening up Anyway starting with goods stock. Prices as indicated and do not include postage The S trucks. represent the all steel that was common prior to the 50's. Probably built according to the article in (I think it was) Hobbies illustrated , I've included extra pics to show underside etc SOLD
Black ducks.. Some are marked CH, others LCH although I don't thinks there's any difference between them, although I do have vague memories that some may have had hungry boards at some point. Hoppers are not fixed, and made from what appears to be 1mm ply, numbers do match ! there's also one spare hopper body SOLD
I've also got 1 only early NSW clerestory end platform car, SOLD wood construction, real glass in windows, roof removable to provide access to undetailed interior
