Fantastic result. The water looks great. I like the way that the boat lists slightly to one side. Very realistic scene.
It looks good to me from the photos you have posted, looks like water, in the way you appear to be able to see through it to a depth implying it is deeper and that there is more.
Additional loops, and hidden loops added to the original plan, making it a full folded dogbone for continous running.
Can't quite see Andy, but just wondering how easy it will be to get at any derailments on the bottom loops at the back. Ed
Did someone mention tinto? ... Looking good Andy my plonk is 8ft so ideal for a quick sip, at 80ft I'd be lathered by the time the loco came back! Great thread enjoying it thanks. Ian vt
Ah, removable scenery boards. Makes sense Andy, I was wondering how you'd get to the back if a hill was in the way. Looking great, by the way Ed
I think I have found out what happend to my photos, my posts say I edited them on the 28th July, well I was on holiday then so I think it was a ex-employee that I had to let go, this forum is the only one that auto logs me in though firefox as I use MS Edge for all the others, so I have now turned off that feature. I have added back a load of photos but some may not make sense with the comments. Anyhow heres the latest up date, started creating the contours for some scenery and also a bit of ballasting. And a retaining wall along the back straight
Lots of progress since the last update some fine work going into the layout Really like all the other buildings and the dock and puffer your building as well Re the missing Photos and the ex employee, must be a very sad individual To be going through and editing/ deleting your stuff on a model train forum glad you worked out the issue anyway.
You certainly have the talent to turn out some beautiful buildings. I remember the goods shed you built for the Inglenook from YMRC days. Excellent buildings. I will be looking forward to the next installment of this excellent layout. Keep the great work coming. Cheers, Gary.
