Hi, two wires have come off the main PCB . Please can anyone tell me if I have the white and yellow wires on correctly? Thanks, Richard
I'm afraid to say I don't really know but if you mean the two wires at the bottom are they loose? If they are in the position that they came off then I would imagine they should resolder ok where they are, if you can follow my rambling reply? Pete.
I see the standard of soldering in their OO factory is as bad as it is in their N-Gauge factory, not too surprising you have had wires drop of looking at the poor quality soldering. As to were the wires go could you mark which set of white and yellow wires are lose as it's not so obvious in the photo, but yellow and white are commonly used for the negative return from the white and red LEDs, the markings on the PCB might be an indication as to were they go
Hi, thanks for the replies. It's the white & yellow wires roughly in line with the 'W' of 'Western Harrier'. I've emailed Dapol ; yet to get a response. R
If they have followed stangard colour coding - well we can only hope Then when active the White wire turn the A end front headlight on and B end rear lights on, where as the Yellow wire when active will turn the B end front headlight on and A end rear lights on. Paul
Do they not just go on the two pads they are sitting above now, in the photo they don't look to be disconnected
Still awaiting a confirmation from Dapol although they did say there was a potential solder bridge on the TRX solder pad and its neighbour. (See original photo - on the rt side). Nothing to do with me!
The white and yellow wires are soldered onto their correct pads; yet to check the potential solder bridge.
