    Know this is an older post, I just picked up 03 as a late Xmas pressie to myself and want to have a crack at converting it and then installing a speaker/sound files.

    Do you have a recommended chip/board for DCC and/or any suggestions on reading material about throwing sound into it?

    Currnetly using NCE kit (controllers) and have left my fleet using Factory fitted DCC chips.

    Which manufacturer is it from. Is it new or an older model. Just to give an idea as to what can be expected inside for example if its DCC ready. It will make a difference as to how its chipped.

    If it's an older model, it would probably be useful if a picture could be posted showing available space under the body shell as that may influence speaker type.

    The more you can provide the better. :thumbs:

    These are relatively new models Toto, only been on the market for 2 years now. They are DCC ready. Chris has already fitted a sound decoder with sound from his own file. I recently purchased a black non streamlined model for my collection, hoping one day to model the Central West Express or the Central West Night Mail Train.
