Hello, I have been offered a Duchess by MTH , I have searched for a service agent but to no avail. This is one quirky loco with a couple of issues. One of the running lights has stopped working and I cannot access the CVs through my Lenz 90 controller. Any thoughts on this would be most welcome . Tony Hubbard
I have now sorted out the issues with my Duchess and replacement parts are on their way .Here are a couple of images of the Duchess. This loco is so heavy it won`t run on my Concepts dcc rolling road without holding up the body.
Just an update on my Duchess, Youchoos repaired my LEDs and I replaced the front steps. At 5.5kg the beast is back in action!. Also a picture of the internals. Tony Hubbard
Just so jealous, not that I'd ever have the space to be able to run one, it'll just have to stay on the wishfull thinking list along with a 9F Whats the current draw of such a beast ? Paul
Very nice, and quite a beast at that weight! I've always found John Gymer at Youchoos a very helpful and knowledgeable chap, my 'Go-to' for Zimo sound decoders and sound projects. (Usual disclaimer, no connection except as a satisfied customer). Keith.
Hello , Thank you for the replies. I don`t really have the space to run her , a 16ft length in my shed is all I have. I also own a 9F and a Crosti . My Beyer Garrett doesn`t get much use either . The Duchess does have a smoke generator , I`m told it works well , not sure what the current draw is though. John at Youchoos was very helpful as there are no spare parts available. The front step was made by my local jeweller as the original was lost on a garden railway. Tony Hubbard
