To reset your password without logging (i.e. Forgotten Password), do the following Click the logon button Enter your username or email address Then click on Forgot your password ? Again enter your username or email address (works with either) You will then receive an email with a link to a password reset page. Once you enter the new password you will be logged on to the forum Hope this helps Paul
Just possibly a stupid question but how do members read this thread if they can't log in? Can they read it as a guest?
Thanks Paul The reset has worked and I am now finally back in touch with PFM1. Nice to be back. All things so far seem to be ok apart from my birthday which is shown as age 1, born in 2016? But I can fix that little bug myself. Cheers Richard
I was wrong about changing my DOB as it seems I cannot do this. Could you let me know who I should contact? Cheers Richard
I think the powers that be are monitoring new posts - this looks as though it is mis-labelled : should be "Date Joined" The newest member today is showing up with a birthday today Peter
The same with me - it seems it is an Admin job unless the software is modified to allow user to modify their own profile.
We'll have a look at that. usually that would be something that any member can do for themselves. I'll get round to that asap. cheers toto
Just checked and members are able to edit their profiles. There maybe other settings that I need to check though so hang fire. cheers Toto
When the forum first came back on, there was a library missing from apache, so the password reset process failed at the email send section, so we were reseting passwords manually, but once we found where the problem was the server was patched and that bit now works - phew. I will look at the DOB, if you PM me with the correct date I will try and correct it, then see what needs changing to allow everyone to correct their own - unless Toto beats me to it. Just back in from taking SWMBO to the flicks - penance for the past week for putting up with the tears, tantrums and bad language being hurled at the monitor
I've just looked Paul and the edit profile is set as a user permission for members. I'll have a deeper look.
Checked the profile section for all users, and any changes to DOB has to be done by an admin If you wish for it to be corrected, send an email to admin@platform1mrc.com include your username and DOB and we will make the changes. Paul
Um, I know you guys have been working your s off the get this up and running, but the way I see it, is that the DOB has been populated with the join date, and that's why Admin's have to change it. Could have flow on effects elsewhere if changed ?
