Decided to start on my entry, On3O (7mm) off coarse. A girder bridge over ?? (not decided yet!) Track bed glued and all measured up.. Cheers Ron
A bit more done today, started the traditional banking with cardboard laths and plaster bandage and roughed up the wood under the bridge. Cheers Ron
Checking out some colours tonight and added a figure (temp) to check scale as I have never worked in 7mm scale! Also shortened the board by a foot!!
Don't want to be a killjoy, but wasn't it "main structure must be created from the Scalescenes papers" Nice bridge though Ron, are you going to space out the sleepers a bit? Ed
Plaster work done tonight (as if I don't see enough of the stuff at work!) and left to set.. The foreman doesn't look too happy though!! (just noticed the loco chimney!!)
Coming along a treat Ron . I wouldn't worry about the chimney, the camera angle probably makes it look worse than it is. I used to work for a gaffer that looked like your foreman, nasty piece of work, he would stand at your shoulder waiting for you to make a mistake GRRRRR. Pete.
Cracking on with the challenge this weekend. Got the bridge finished and the track done. Ashlar stone abutments fixed but not finished yet and the dry river bed done.. Still got some detailing to do and the grasses to do yet! Cheers Ron
Very nice Ron. I like the riverbed. Terrific job you have made of it. I think the grasses etc will finish it off nicely. Cheers Toto
