Our outdoor Garden Railway.

Yes it is rather large isn't it , thank you for the compliment will pass it on to my partner, a couple of our members are adding an extra 4ft to it as a steam up area, also making some buildings, hopefully will be all finished ready for our 1st outdoor show on 26th and 27th of this month at Helston Railway 40s week - end.

Hi Gary,
The legs fit into slots fastened down by diagonal pieces attached by coach bolts and wing nuts for ease of assembly, there are 4 corner units withs legs the centres are bridges resting on pieces attached with 4 centre pieces with legs. to the ends and are locked into place by catches there is a lot to explain really as its quite a complex build. Will post some photos once passed over to me.

Our first display will be at Helston Preseved Railway for their 40s week - end on 26th and 27th of this month Hopefully be all finished and up and running by then a lot happening down this neck of the woods.

Hi everyone,
Just an update to mention that this week-end coming we are at Helston Preservation Railway on 26th and 27th Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday with our outdoor 16mm garden railway. If any members are visiting Cornwall please come along and say hello and meet the team. It is Helston's 40s week -end.With train rides hoping Kilmersden Loco will be in steam loaned from the JSDR.Am also posting a photo of our railway which is not far away from completion another couple or 3 days work as there is more track needed. Other members will be adding items to be displayed on it, hopefully should be good.

We had a successful Bank Holiday Weekend at our first show of the year, at Helston Railway, with our portable railway, created a lot of interest from the general public and staff of Helston Railway. Looking forward to our next show next month in June.

Yes it is still in Helston it is having boiler problems hopefully be in steam sometime in the distant future. I was stationed and Southall as a guard a few years back now though.Will keep you posted regarding William Murdoch. Thank you also for your very kind message regarding the week-end.

We have done our first display over the week- end it went very well with plenty of interest from the public and staff of Helston Railway. Once I get some photos sent to me I will post them on here And rode behind a Peckett 0-4-0 Kilmersden which was free ride also a free beer for exhibitors either a 1 free pint or half a pint of cider or bitter the same.
