Start of another project (Gantry Crane)one that I've seen that really like, so here goes at having a go at building one :scratchchin:This H section 9mm x 9mm x 385mm (plastruct)

5 slots at 7mm wide equally spaced
    [IMG]

    7mm x 4mm x 385mm rectangular section
    [IMG]

cut in half, then inserted old rails,(20mm space left in both ends) for strength and support
    [IMG]

These legs only placed on dry for now
    [IMG]

Came across these at our local Drop & Shop, Shop at the Tip, think they are off blinds, so a lucky findat a great expence of a whole $1 for the eight
    [IMG]

    2mm round and 5mm x 5mm 'T' Section
    [IMG]

    Glued on top of girder
    [IMG]

wheel housing with the half circle pieces removed, and placed in the position it/they will run
    [IMG]
Heck of a long way to go but it's a start. hoping it works

That looks great Ralph. Good use of the window rollers, you could get a better match really.

I find these kind of builds especially interesting as they give great ideas for other builds. The use of blind runners for a gantry crane is excellent, but also its given me an idea for a sliding door for my big shed on Wheeldon .
Can't wait to see what comes next!

    Cheer's, Pete.
