Chambs123 made a video on how to improve the running of the Tri-ang Car Transporter specifically replacing the plastic wheels with Liliput wheels L587540.

I have been unable to find these wheels and David from 2ktechnologues informed me that Liliput have hiked the price to an extortionate level, maybe as a result of Brexit?

Would anyone know where they could otherwise be found
    Thanks

I'm not familiar with much Triang stuff, but I have updated/rewheeled a few of their coaches/wagons and the 2BIL EMU. Are the axles the usual (non-pinpoint) ones, sometimes with knurling at one end to retain them in position? It's often possible to fit 'Top Hat' type bearings superglued into the holes left by removing the original axles, then you can fit Hornby or similar pinpoint wheels, though nowadays, these aren't so cheap, but likely cheaper than the 'Liliput' ones. Worth a try?

Romford/Jackson (JR2) 10.5mm disc are ideal if you can get hold of them, fitted them to all my Triang Murgatroyd tankers, Tierwags, Hornby Cartics and other bogie wagons to run on Peco Code 100 track.

I believe that 10.5mm diameter is a standard size for HO, equivalent to the UK OO size of 12.5mm for wagons if you are outside of the UK.
