Great Chesterford Junction Part Two

Thanks everyone who commented on the footbridge.
I`ve added some more to it today in the form of ridge capping and weathering.
The weathering is most obvious on the roof ,and the side panels have had a very light dusting at the moment, and I will probably add more after I`ve let it sit for a while.
The roof was first streaked with Black, Orange , White and Green Crayon to build a base layer of distress.
The ridge capping is made from A4 paper and was first coloured with a graphic marker. The marker tends to penetrate the paper and colour it right through.
The ridge capping was then coloured with a Black crayon followed by an Orange crayon streaked randomly along it`s length before being applied to the roof.
Once all was in place a heavy dusting of chalk pastel was added and brushed in and the result is as shown in the pics below.

I probably should do some guttering next.....I`ll have to check my guttering stocks....

G`day Folks,
The railway has played second fiddle for the last couple of weeks as I have been preoccupied with family matters.
However in the last couple of days I did some work on a coupling variation I have been thinking about that will make my magnetic coupling system more user friendly, especially when assembling goods trains.
I have created a rotating coupling for my locos and brake vans which allows them to couple to any wagon or coach regardless of the polarity on that particular vehicle.
So it`s turned into a sort of hybrid system.
