Jim my thoughts exactly I know its heresy , I play trains and what I know about GWR is they are green with a copper /brass thingy on top and the big locomotives , they all look similar Will try harder Bob
Bob, it's not heresy on here. Rule 1 : It's your railway do as you please! When I am out in my shed I put up a small sign by the kitchen door - "Playing with my trains". As far as I am concerned if the trains are not performing a revenue earning service then you are playing with them, e.g. 00, 0 or fullsize, even Pete Waterman owner of all those sizes uses the word play, so never be put off by admiting it. My memory is terrible I can name only a few of the classes and designers of my fleet, but it's like my garden, well, a managed jungle, I don't need to know all the names of the plants to enjoy them whether wild (aka weeds) or trees. If you have seen any of my posts about my railway you will see that I readily mix re-wheeled tinplate TTR, Dublo tinplate through Tri-ang to recent Bachmann, same goes for my scenery, many a vintage part from late 50's present there. So just play harder! Jim
Spot on Jim. I’ve always thought that you are playing when taking part in any hobby. If you are earning money from it then it isn’t a hobby it is a job.
This was when I first met Pete, I later escorted him when filming an ITV program shown a few years later. He makes some valid points Andy
Yes Bob, did get the brushes, and the motor runs fine. Not too sure what to do with it from here. It's probably only good for spears. Cheers phil
Great stuff , fairly bullet proof are h/d half inch motors , I still think a graham farish large prairie body would look the part . Bob
