As most of you know on this forum I don't usually do a lot on my layout in the summer. (if the weather is good) But I just had to knock up the final three baseboards to get my latest acquisitions running around the track. I lashed out and bought an Accurscale pack of nuclear flask wagons. Then when they came I needed a Loco to haul them so I got a Hattons Class 66 in direct rail livery then I needed a crew transporter so I bought the Hornby MK 2F brake. Then I needed sound so I purchased a Loksound chip. Anyway after all that I decided to put up the three baseboards and run the train around. I have to say that the quality of all the parts is outstanding. The class 66 has been faultless contrary to the bad reviews that the Hatton 66's had I found mine to be a great looking and running machine. The Accurscale wagons are a dream to see and look exactly like the real thing that pass behind my house. I have yet to fit coach interior lights and rear warning light. I just thought I would share this with you. Here is avideo of the first run (too fast as usual) I hope you enjoy. Be seeing you. Bob
Looking good Bob A little worried about the Thread title - big bang or fell off the track, but then reading the list of parts, probably the bank manager having a heart attack Some close up pictures would be nice. Probably not a model I would buy, in my period I think they had just discovered the atom never mind trying to split it. Paul
I thought that the title would wake up somebody. I will take some close ups later today . By the way paul I found the problem with the boards Fraser sent us. If you need the details let me know and I will pm you. be seeing you Bob
Bob your wallet must have been screaming. BTW lovely close-up pictures of the class 66 and flask wagons.
I struggle for that detail in 7mm, and before you say anything I'm not moving to Gauge 1 - Morag would kill me, and my 3D printer is too small Paul
So great how models are getting so detailed these days...every time you look at them you notice something else. Cheers for sharing.
