Hi all, anyone who knows me will have seen most of my 'stuff' usually involves the Dark Side with photo's like this: So I finally got back into my shed this month and have been playing with my 3D printer and my Christmas pressie a Laser cutter. This week I have been having a go at the top of the layout and have turned it upside down or sunny side up not quite sure. Here are a couple of pics from Phoenix Road right side down. Enjoy Col
Actually Andy I do believe it was. The first time I saw one was Paul's at Elgin? he had Victoria Road there many moons ago. I also built a 6 lane one and passed it on to my club, they used it at Glasgow this year with the Diesel Depot 254. Col
I glazed it with some overhead projector film which was supposed to be printable but the ink never dried on it and neither did the glue . Next morning it had all fallen off. So I've just ordered some new stuff and will see what happens when I try that. The original film was bought years ago and never did work with the printer, I just forgot. I have built in some tabs to hold it in place, they may ( or indeed may not ) work, if not I may be shouting for help. You're always a Royal in my books Paul . Was it Elgin or Aberdeen? Col
Twas Elgin ..... OHP film maybe laser printable. If the glazing is on the outside, you could hold it in place with insulation tape until glazing glue sets. Then cut strips of insulation tape to create external glazing bars. Paul
