As I mentioned on the Princess thread, after finishing a couple of shelf queens this is to be my next build something for me and something completely different from anything that I have built before. So as a taster of things to come here's a what's in the box. As I unpacked it for the photos I was quite surprised at just how many sheets of etch there was. last but not least the castings which are resin and other bit's and pieces. As is usual with most kits the wheels, motors and gearboxes were bought as additions to the kit as supplied. They all came from Hobby Holidays. You can tell how long I have had this as the motors are 14:28 Mashima's which haven't been available for a number of years...
I do hope so Ron, for me the build is about the journey, so the longer it keeps me entertained the cheaper it is.
I havent built any of the Judith Edge kits but had quite a long chat with Mike Edgeson at a York show several years ago about artwork for etching. He impressed me with his knowledge of CAD etc and seemed quite thorough i'd be quite confident his kits should be VERY buildable
Hi Rob. at a year or two per model looks like you and I need to be physically and mentally active for another century ! Wrinklies Rule - We aint't finished yet! Jim
Really enjoy your engineering skills, amazing what you learn even though I'm no where those technical skills. Cheers Rob looking forward to the next chapter.
I've built the 4mm Judith Edge kit for the Fell diesel loco, it went together well and is obviously well thought out, so a 7mm kit should be straightforward enough. Keith.
